Have the same proplem on two other notebooks found with nvidia-prime:

Terminal:
~$ sudo prime-select nvidia:

Error: alternatives are not set up properly
Error: nvidia mode can't be enabled

~$ prime-select query:

unknown

Maybe the bug is similar to:
