OK, make.log seems to show a successful build.

kern.log seems to show an error happening on boot:
Oct 14 20:05:53 saucy64-test kernel: [ 14.816378] NVRM: RmInitAdapter failed! (0x26:0x38:1170)
Oct 14 20:05:53 saucy64-test kernel: [ 14.816390] NVRM: rm_init_adapter(0) failed

And that probably explains why Xorg.0.log couldn't find any screens.
