Yes, bzip2 is unfortunately very slow. We will solve this issue in the future by using a different NTFS debug image format.

The actions are correct.

I would also need the output of

egrep -3i 'ntfs|ata|sd|i/o' /var/log/daemon.log

and the name of the file which crashes Vista.
