Comment 2 for bug 527194

Thanks for taking time to report this bug and help us make ubuntu better. I also faced this problem today but what you are seeing on screen is not notify-osd its the notification-daemon (gnome-notification) have you installed it? if so then please remove it and notify osd will work fine.
