The specification says "To make clearer which key was pressed, if the bubble was not already open, the gauge should show the old value for half a second before switching to the new value."
I don't know if the old value is currently being showed for half a second or not. It's just that it does not last enough for me to notice it (maybe the time is counted from the moment the bubble starts to fade in or maybe I'm too slow for a 0.5" change). If I'm on the alert for it I can see it changing, but most of the time I find myself pressing the key twice just to ensure it's changing.
I know it's very difficult to balance this feature with the perceived responsiveness of the system so I don't expect this to be changed, but I just want to let you know about it. |
