This bug affects me because of the following scenario: At a school we have several laptops where we don't want to give out the root password nor the wireless key for our network. We do however want the pupils to be able to connect to other wireless networks when they take their computers home. If I give the pupils permission to create system-wide connections they can see the wireless key for the network I've configured.

The way I would like for it to work is that the default should be user specific connections without the need for higher privileges, ie. you would click the ssid, enter the key and then a dialog would pop-up asking you if you wanted this connection to be available to all users. If you clicked yes you would be prompted for the root password otherwise the wireless connection would only be available to you.
