It seems the new related bug has been marked a duplicate of this one. (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager-applet/+bug/1077982).

The thing is this bug is so often misunderstood I was happy to see the new bug report which was a lot more concrete. Can we at least get this one back to confirmed instead of opinion.

The "opinion"-status is just ridiculous.

I like the title of that one. No opinion there.
