Additional info; I've had to add "acpi=off" and "noapic" to GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT
to allow the machine to boot properly.
I'vealso tried the Ubuntu 12.10 beta 2 liveCD and it boots without these additions to grub. Network-manager also picks up my network and can connect. However, I can not install it as th machine freezes when I click the install icon.
I seem to remember that I could also login to my network in a previous LiveCD, but not after installation.
