Comment 4 for bug 647650

Sorry. Forget what I just said about the later version of network manager. The version in maverick beta that I tested IS already version 0.8.1, so that doesn't seem to fix anything.

In the meantime I also tried substituting network-manager for wicd. Changing to wicd unfortunately doesn't solve the problem. I still can't get a usable connection when signal-strength drops belows approximately 100%. (I've tried to change freq. channel in my router, as well as disabling encryption - nothing helps).
