I think I sort of found the root cause for this reconnection thing:

I keep getting this in syslog:

SWITCH: found better connection 'eth1/AF2' than current connection 'eth1/AF2'. same_ssid=1, have_link=0

Apparently this is a network switch reconsideration failure. Somehow the manager thinks one and the same AP is better than itself and it needs to switch. This is kind of schizophrenic behaviour. PLEASE get it fixed. It IS a pain!

Just for the records: This bug has been filed as Bug #78181 for the kdenetwork and knetwork-manager, too!
