Margaret,

There is a corresponding bug in the NetworkManager bug queue upstream,
and I've made them aware of this patch.

In the short term, I could publish the ".deb" packages I made from
Fionn's patch, which have been working great on Edgy.

Unfortunately, the NetworkManager developers haven't responded so far
about whether they will include a variation of this patch or not. If you
look at this ticket through the web on Launchpad, you'll find the links
to the upstream bug entries.
