DId a browser screen popup and ask for your launchpad login to authenticate you?

That should have happened.

The message said that edge.launchpad.net was not found, perhaps there was a glitch
at the time you tried.

Try again and lets see what happens, things should work out of the box an in
a very short time frame, like <2 minutes
