Bug Description
Binary package hint: network-manager
NetMannager has no problem identifying or connecting with the network using a Verizon Aircard V620, but the system freezes after about 2 minutes of use. A hard reboot is required.
I tested my configuration using Gnome-PPP and the card is recognized and runs without a problem.
When the freeze takes place and there is no dump of log entry produced.
Thanks!
I am using Ubuntu 8.10
NetworkManager 0.7~~svn2008101

I had this same problem with my KPC680 card. I am using a slightly newer version of NetworkManager with 8.10. I was able to resolve the problem by modifying the /etc/ppp/options file. The following lines should be changed to 0:
lcp-echo-interval 0
lcp-echo-failure 0
That stopped my machine from locking up when signal was weak or non-existent. I hope this helps you.
