Can confirm the problem with Jaunty Jantalope on MacBook Air 1,1 with wl driver. Takes quite long before it connects.
Speaking of slow things, why is DHCP always slow, on all computer platforms? You'd think that with ping times of 1-2 ms, a DHCP request could be served in less than 4 ms? Connecting to a network with a static IP is near instantaneous. Where does this slowness originate? Am I waiting 5-7 seconds for my DHCP handshakes because of slow poll intervals? It seems to especially happen with wireless access points, as DHCP over Ethernet seems somewhat quicker.
