Reinhard I tested 3 diferent WPA (not WPA2) networks, and suffered the mention symptoms of this bug and the quasi-dupe #260656.

All with kernel 2.6.27.

With 2.6.25 it was (FINALLY) working after I replaced my faulty intel wifi card.

If I have the time, I'll make tests with the PPA NM and WPA vs WPA2 networks and post back.
