I have a 1525, and connecting to WPA2 is hit and miss (though always eventually hits, and WPA1 was fine) too :-)
As far as I can tell from the actual bug on Intel's site, it's fixed in their code, and Ubuntu need to pull an update.

I have, unfortunately, no idea how to nudge things along.
