A few things have been suggested as possibly being at fault, and this has been a long saga, but one of the symptoms is that the "Network Manager" icon can be lost, making it difficult to recover the connection that way. For myself, I want to know either how to prevent the problem from happening, or to find an automated scripted method of recovering after the problem. Have you any suggestions please?
