This is affecting me on a fresh install of 14.04 Ubuntu-MATE amd64 on boot and on resume.

I'm using the broadcom-sta driver (wl). Kernel version3.16.0-49-generic. The network is not hidden. All updates are applied.

None of the workarounds here are working for me, nor is restarting NetworkManager or killing wpa_supplicant.
