Like Reinhard, Jc and Nic, if I turn on and off the kill-switch while it's trying to connect, it works... at least with an open network (I've not tried yet with wep or wpa).
If I restart dbus, it doesn't work.
And when wifi is on, I can hear a very high frequency sound, like a whistling. And I know, according to the english Ubuntu forum, I'm not the only one with this. And don't say it's because of my computer, it does that only on Gutsy. Everything works fine, without noise, in Feisty, Debian, Fedora or Windows... Strange...
