I have done a cold start and found that there's a problem somewhere with DBUS.

My Specs:

Dell Latitude D820
Intel 3945 ABG

I did not use the kill switch, and upon restarting DBUS, I was able to connect to my AP using WPA and stay connected.

I don't know if this will help, but it's working (seems to disable my suspend and hibernate when I restart DBUS, which I expected).
