Don't we are talking here about the ipw3945 driver for intel wireless-cards?
1. it cant't be a solution to install *-386 restricted-modules. We are working the the *-generic kernel, aren't we? In Feisty different installed kernels (and fitting kernel-headers) doesn't disrupt NM at all. Or I am wrong?
2. it is not a problem of two different installed kernels, because the ip3945 driver doesn't even work with the desktop-cd in live-mode! In live-mode you can be very sure, that only one kernel is "installed".
