25 June daily build install still much thrash to get wireless WPA running. Live, select network applet wireless security and it does. Installed, select network applet wireless security and it does not . Just nothing. After a minute or more it might show the menu so I can set WPA and password.
Still does not "automatically connect".
Do System Settings Network and it does not even show the network name which was set in the edit above a while ago.
Switch back and forth between network applet and network settings eventually connects.
Still only showing the "short" network applet 4 item menu instead of the long 12 item menu with connect to hidden network although that choice hasn't been any better.
At 1.66 gHz that's billions and billions of instruction times - what on earth is the network manager doing? Any way to trace?
