22 June Quantal daily build - "connect automatically" takes a good 5 minutes - at 1.66 GHz that's billions and billions of instructions doing what? to connect to wireless WPA.
Systems Settings > Network does not show network name and pull down menu does not show network name even though selecting applet shows network name, selecting wireless security very sluggish and does not allow selecting password which it has stored already from yesterday.

Finally after 5 minutes the connection wakes up - why don't Enable Wireless and Connect Automatically work??

Also, pull down menu at the network applet is very short and does not show connect to hidden network, 4 lines or so. After it came up then the full 12 line menu appears showing connect to hidden network.

How do I get the network applet to display "connect to hidden wireless network"? It's got Enable Wireless checked and has the name of the network and the password, why doesn't it do it?
