Hi Daniel,

Not having used vpnc I may be wrong, but my understanding is that vpnc is a client for Cisco IPSec VPNs, and doesn't interoperate with OpenVPN (an independently developed VPN which doesn't use IPSec, and provides for SSL authentication), so it doesn't really represent a workaround.
