We're already planning on changing these defaults for Oneiric. However, they won't be changed for Natty because it's already quite late in the cycle to do so -- regardless, it's easy for those who know what they are doing to change these settings. IPv6 for most will not be very useful and taken care of by other equipment than the end system running NM.
