In the Karmic Netbook Remix Alpha 5 (installed on a Medion Akoya 1210),
it is not possible to change the icons of the Ubuntu Netbook Desktop using the System -> Main Menu tool: it doesn't recognize any file to use as an icon.
This was tested with different png, jpeg and tiff images with resolutions 32x32, 64x64, 128x128. Its quite annoying because much icons in the netbook menu are too blurry or low-res.
