Bug Description

Binary package hint: netbook-launcher-efl

When selecting the various menu's down the left hand side, the transition animation as the icon's move in view isn't consistent. Sometime it is a slide effect, sometimes a fade.

Fade animation:
Favorites
Files and Folders
Accessories
System

Slide animation:
Games
Graphics
Internet
Office
Sound and Video

I can confirm that there is a difference between the animations, however they don't all match what is described above:
For instance:
Accessories - Fade when I move from Files to Accessories, but slides when I move from Games to Accessories
There seems to also be some alteration in which category is being exited.

Changed in netbook-launcher-efl (Ubuntu):
importance: Undecided → Low
status: New → Confirmed

I took a look into this and it appears to be by design (from the original team I suppose). The way it is setup currently, if you are starting from a place like Favorites or System (some "item" that does not have an accosiated menu), it will use the 'fade' transition. Going from an 'item' that has a .menu file than it will use the slide.

I can make the change to fix this to be consistent if someone will let me know which way "ubuntu" would prefer it to be .. either fade or slide.
