try "sudo apt-get install dhcpcd"
then "sudo dhcpcd *eth0*"
# replace "*eth0*" with whatever your network
# interface is.
If it bombs out again then "sudo killall dhcpcd-bin"
then repeat "sudo dhcpcd *eth0*"
