The disappearence of encryption is EXTREMELY unfortunate. I don't
understand this. Why is enryption incompatible with main?

1. U.S. has loosened encryption export restrictions.
2. The RSA patent has expired.
3. Other distros do it.

Is this about Debian's silly quarell with the OpenSSL license? Why not
just move to non-free, then? When 99% of the disto is in non-free, maybe
the zealots will get a clue; no, probably not. :-)
