GPL restricts the code from being used in closed-source environments
(because then the author is not given proper credit).

BSD code is free to be hidden in closed-source project.

GPL is restricted to free projects.

So yes, GPL can be said to be "less free" than BSD.

But this is all not specific to this bugreport, so let's continue
somewhere else if needed, ok? :-)
