This on ubuntu Karmic alpha4

Plug in a usb stick, right click the resulting desktop icon, choose propertiesand change icon and hit OK.
Watch the task bar, many file browsers get created and then closed automatically. The icon does change after all this activity so ultimate behaviour is correct.
