Bug Description
Hardy Alpha 5 updated to 2-28-08 recognizes that my system has an internal FDD but can not access it. I have verified that the FDD and the disk are both in perfect working order.
Nothing happens when I try to mount the drive, the drive does not do anything at all.
I tested the drive by setting the FDD as the first boot device and using an old Win 98 boot disk. The drive worked and could read the disk. The drive just will not do anything in Hardy.

Hi,
Could you please try mounting from the command line
to see if this is a problem with nautilus or lower
down the stack?
Firstly check that the floppy module is loaded by running
lsmod | grep floppy
then edit /etc/fstab and add a line at the end that says
/dev/fd0 /media/floppy0 vfat rw,user,noauto 0 0
then run "sudo mount /dev/fd0" and see if it succeeds.
You should then remove the line from /etc/fstab again
to prevent it interfering later.
Thanks,
James
