Bug Description

When copying a directory from a samba share on a NAS (Synology DS216j), it fails with "Software caused connection abort" after copying a few files.

Expected to happen:
Nautilus succesfully copies entire directory.

What happens instead:
Nautilus stops copying after a few files with the error "Software caused connection abort".

Version:
- Ubuntu 18.04. Behavior did not occur on 16.04.
- samba version is 2:4.7.6+dfsg~ubuntu-0ubuntu2
- gvfs version is 1.36.1-0ubuntu1

- It seems related to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1312362.
- It also does not seem to happen when using gio copy from the terminal.
- I am also not sure whether this bug is in nautilus, gvfs, or samba.

Does not occur if the same share is mounted via NFS.

I have a similar issue but some slight differences. For example:
gio copy file.log smb://1.10.2.1/folder/
gio: file:///home/user/file.log: Network dropped connection on reset

When I copy, I get this error. On an old Linux Mint, I had the same issue and rolling samba back to 4.3.9 fixed it.

My hard disk is connected to a D-Link DIR-636L.

I've been able to transfer files to my network drive through cifs.

sudo mount -t cifs -o username=guest,guest,vers=1.0 //1.10.2.1/folder /home/user/mnt
