I tried the same with konqueror. It failed also.

However, I could add a new Network Share in konqueror and I could access my share using username and password.

I tried the same with Nautilus "Connect to Server...", entered what I felt like was necessary and got *NO* error message indicating that it failed.

Samba/Windows interop is seriously broken in Gnome.
