Bug Description
There are a few particular folders in my filesystem which don't have anything special (that I know of) and that do _not_ contain many files or subfolder (just a dozen items), which at random times take several seconds to show up when I open them in Nautilus.
Most of the times it happens when it's the first time I open that folder (since boot) or when a long time has passed since the last time I opened that folder. After that, if I exit and reenter the folder it opens fast.

I'm guessing this is unrelated to https:/ /gitlab. gnome.org/ GNOME/nautilus/ issues/ 296 since that applies every time you open a folder with a lot of thumbnails, so I'm going to assume this is fixed, please change back to New if you can reproduce this bug on Ubuntu 18.04 or Cosmic.
