To get an idea of the number of users of the proposed package I filtered for crashes from Ubuntu 16.04 and with the proposed version of the package:

Looking at some of the individual buckets we can see quite a few people using 2.5.3-2ubuntu1 and that version doesn't appear in the bucket for the crash we are trying to fix, so I'll set it as v-done.
