Bug Description
It's not supported by upstream and not being maintained well in Ubuntu. It's better that there is no misconception that there is any support from the ubuntu mythtv maintainers by having an old package in the archive.

Binary package hint: mythtv
I am having problems installing mythstream in Ubuntu Karmic/9.10 via apt-get. It says "Depends: mythtv-frontend but it is not going to be installed." But I have already installed the "mythtv" package, which includes the mythtv-frontend. It seems the .deb package is misconfigured.
apt-cache policy mythstream says it is trying to install "Candidate: 0.18.1-0ubuntu8".
Here is the STDOUT from the "apt-get install mythstream":

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created

As you will find, the maintainers plan on removing Mythstream from the repository. The reason you are getting the error is that the version in the repo does not work with MythTV 0.22.
We will use this bug to track that repo removal.
