From your log:
mysql_upgrade: Got error: 2002: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2) while connecting to the MySQL server

I'd call it a dup of bug 1592669, but that is meant to be fixed.
Why does it show up "again".
