You can override the problem with a second plugged mouse too, if you move it only one pixel at after startup the mousepointer appears and stay until shutdown.

Maybe the problem is to initialise the pointer when using wacom ?

The Wacom pointer is working but you can't see it, unless you bring the pointer to be visible by override it by another device.
