There is an easy workaround to this, as mentioned in #17 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/+bug/1892440/comments/17)
Just downgrade libmutter for the time being.
For anyone complaining about how long this takes to resolve: it hasn't even beem three weeks. Ubuntu is an ooen source project that you are using for free. If you think it takes too long, take a look at the source code and fix it yourself.
