No, i did not edit the shot.
In fact, it was doing same on Ubuntu.
Tried Mate yesterday, although it had its issues, it did not have this one.

Running MX19.2b at present (in dual boot with Win10) and it too is okay with regards to this.
Would a screenshot of MX satisfy your request?
