I got this too, comes out of nowhere, typing stalls for a second or two, sometimes the keystrokes are remembered, and typed a bit later, other times they're just dropped and i sit and look at the screen, then try typing and the letter shows up, very annoying for a developer.
Danish keyboard layout (only)
Single keyboard (Logitech K520)
Ubuntu 20.04 (had it on 18.04 too)
MSI GeForce GT 1030
Nvidia 460 (just updated from 450 1½ day ago, haven't seen the bug since this so far)
Display manager gdm3
Xinput shows me a funny thing, a webcam as keyboard. This webcam is quite new, so i'll try and disable it next time i experience the bug.
