I have updated to 20.10 and can confirm disabling scroll lock workaround is still working.

Another thing i've just realized is without this hack, there is a huge lag during lock/unlock/login animations. Commenting scroll lock line in /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/br made animations a lot better.
