I'm ready to apply the patch, but doing this on 14.04 right now would likely mean further delays for another stable update in progress. I'd rather wait until that update is done and fully verified (waiting for a confirmation from mauricfo) before adding a new patch to go through the SRU process.

I can however apply this now to the devel release and to 15.04 and 15.10.
