Removing the "...and should be updated to version 3.6 from Debian" part of the bug title to reflect that the fix isn't in version 3.6 per se (but in package apt, as explained in bug 1651923). Version 3.6 only works around this bug by using wget instead of apt-helper to download the fonts, it doesn't fix it. And should Ubuntu's package be merged with Debian's, the bug would stay because usage of apt-helper would be kept in the Ubuntu package.

That said a merge would still be nice, for reasons exposed in bug 1656102 and duplicates.
