Processor is a Celeron. Tried installing and running mplayer. Now get audio but no video, for the 2 video types that I tried, flv and wmv.
Perhaps I have to compile differently as described in bug #858226, in which case I'm in over my head. It looks like my situation is the one described in bug #974125.
