Subject: Debian Mozilla should disable Postscript support

Package: mozilla-browser
Version: 2:1.3-4
Severity: serious

Debian Mozilla should disable Postscript support in
favor of the XPrint print. The built-in Postscript
generator is seriously buggy and permanently hangs our
XEROX printers in a way that the admin has to remove
ALL pending print jobs, turn the printer OFF for 30sec
and then turn it on again. Lexmark users are harassed
with even more pain: Mozilla asks to UPGRADE(!!!!) the
printer with the following message:
========================================
The PostScript interpreter in your printer is 2014.108
This printout requres at least version 2015 or
greater.
========================================
This would require a new printer just to fullfill the
insane 'demands' of the built-in Postscript generator.
I have asked on IRC and via mail for help and got the
suggestion to use XPrint instead, the problems listed
above will not be fixed in the forseeable future.

We hereby request the removal of this source of pain
and switch over to use the XPrint print support in
Mozilla because it works and is actively maintained.
