Comment 33 for bug 616287

I'm also having this problem. My /home partition (ReiserFS) doesn't cleanly unmount at shutdown, replaying journal at every boot for this partition. I also see the '/ busy' message at shutdown, but don't see any jounral replaying for / at boot up. Anyone any idea on how to capture the shutdown console output? It scrolls by too fast to be able to read everything.

Note that the problem started after an upgrade to Ubuntu 10.10, didn't notice any problems with 10.4.
