I experience this also, however, only if "moonlight-plugin-mozilla" is installed. As long as it is not installed, Firefox doesn't crash a few seconds after starting it up. (I left libmoon and moonlight-plugin-core still installed, I only removed moonlight-plugin-mozilla).
Versions: (as of March 27, 2010 9:13pm UTC+0800H)
Firefox 3.6+nobinonly-0ubuntu6 (lucid)
libmoon 2.2-0ubuntu1
moonlight-plugin-core 2.2-0ubuntu1
moonlight-plugin-mozilla 2.2-0ubuntu1
Tested on Lucid Netbook32. Haven't tested on Lucid Desktop64.
No other changes or steps taken, just a simple installation of moonlight. Firefox loads, a few seconds after (10secs usually), Firefox crashes. I didn't get any apport pop-up tho.
