Binary package hint: monodevelop

The Ambiance theme (which I think is the Ubuntu default) appears to clash with the MonoDevelop syntax highlighting. The background colour used for tips in Ubuntu by default is black, MonoDevelop shows the current argument of the highlighted syntax in a very dark blue. The contrast difference is too low to be able to read the text.

It's easy to work around by changing the colour scheme (either in MonoDevelop or for the desktop), but I think it's something that should work out-of-the-box. I don't think there's a specific setting for colour of the current argument in MonoDevelop so it limits the choice of backgrounds on tips to lighter colours.

I'm using version 2.4+dfsg-3ubuntu2 (monodevelop).
